Frequently Asked Questions: Health & Safety

Is it safe to drink the water?

While tap water in major hotels is often treated, we recommend drinking bottled or filtered water during your safari to avoid any stomach upsets.

Do I need malaria medication?

Most of Southern Africa’s safari destinations, including Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta, and Chobe, are located in malaria-risk areas. Please consult your doctor about the most suitable prophylaxis for your trip.

What vaccinations are required?

There are no mandatory vaccinations for entry unless you are traveling from a Yellow Fever endemic country, in which case a certificate is required. However, we suggest being up to date with Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Tetanus.
