Livingstone to Kazungula Border: ~50km (~45 minutes) Your driver collects you from your Livingstone hotel or lodge and heads southwest along the M10 road toward the Kazungula border post. The road passes through Zambia’s southern corridor – keep watch for vervet monkeys, baboons, and occasional elephant near the road as you approach the Zambezi. Kazungula Border Crossing (~30–45 minutes) Kazungula is a major four-country meeting point – Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Your guide handles Zambia exit and Botswana entry immigration. Processing is generally efficient in morning hours. Into Chobe: ~20 minutes From the border, a short drive brings you to Chobe National Park’s Sedudu Gate. Park entry fees are included in your tour price.

If your nationality requires a visa to enter Zambia, you must ensure you have a multiple-entry or re-entry visa before departing Livingstone. Leaving Zambia to cross into Botswana and returning the same day counts as a new entry. A single-entry visa will be used on departure and you may not be permitted to re-enter. KAZA Univisa holders: The KAZA Univisa ($50) covers both Zambia and Zimbabwe but NOT Botswana. However, most nationalities do not require a Botswana visa. However, if your nationality requires a Zambia visa, you must have a multiple-entry Zambia visa before departing Livingstone – you will need to re-enter Zambia on return.
