You’ve followed a lion pride through two drives and know their territory. You’ve watched the same elephant herd drink at sunset and swim at dawn. Your guide has positioned you at the waterhole where the buffalo cross at 16:00. You stop talking in the vehicle because silence has become more comfortable than conversation – and because the bush rewards it.
Day 1: You arrive, you’re finding your feet, the bush is new and overwhelming in the best possible way.
Day 2: You’ve slept in it, heard it, woken to it at dawn. The guide knows the park’s current story – which lion pride was seen where, which waterhole the elephants favoured at dusk. You cover more ground, reach more remote areas.
Day 3: You know the park. The dawn drive on day three is routinely the best game drive of the entire safari – your guide is working with two days of accumulated intelligence, and you’re reading the bush alongside them. People cry on day three game drives. Not from sadness.

Camp time – typically 11:00 to 13:30 – is unstructured. Your guide is available to do a short bush walk for tracks, birds, and smaller wildlife. Most guests read, sleep, photograph the birdlife from camp chairs, or simply sit and listen.
