Frequently Asked Questions: Visas & Entry Requirements
Do I need a visa to visit Zimbabwe, Botswana, or Zambia?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Many international travelers can obtain a visa upon arrival in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Botswana is visa-exempt for many countries. We strongly recommend checking the latest requirements with your local embassy before travel.
What is the KAZA Univisa?
The KAZA Univisa allows visitors to travel between Zimbabwe and Zambia as many times as they wish within a 30-day period, provided they remain within the two countries. It also covers those crossing into Botswana for day trips through the Kazungula borders.
Are there specific entry requirements for children?
Yes, especially when traveling through Botswana. Parents traveling with children under 18 must carry an original unabridged birth certificate in addition to a valid passport. If only one parent is traveling, an affidavit from the other parent is often required.
